Proximity is the First LEED Platinum Hotel

The first hotel in the US to receive LEED Platinum certification is Proximity Hotel in Greensboro, NC.
LEED certification covers energy use, lighting, water, materials and other sustainable strategies.
The AAA Four Diamond hotel has 100 solar rooftop panels which heat the water.
During the construction, the hotel recycled 87% of the construction debris, used over 20% recycled content, and sourced 90% of the furniture locally.
